Effective school leaders must prioritize a learning experience that is holistic, in which students are provided the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Additionally, the school environment must operate efficiently and effectively while promoting the initiatives of those whom it serves. This necessitates a strong and balanced approach to leadership that requires a wide variety of skills.
Ex. Collaboration with parents and students to formulate SMART goals at Fall Conferences, monitor progress, and report on successes.
Ex. As team leader and mentor, understand individual and collective strengths, establish SMART goals, build collaborative capacity in our work to improve student achievement and outcomes.
Ex. Maintenance of student data, transparent communication with parents, supervisors, and colleagues through weekly updates, team agendas, and parent newsletters.
Ex. Establishing an inclusive learning environment that welcomes parent involvement. Free exchange of ideas and resources with team in the advancement of student learning.
Ex. Fosters an environment of trust among stakeholders in the promotion of student learning and success.
Ex. Collaborates with parents by establishing partnership at the beginning of the year and nurturing that relationship to meet the goals set forth for each individual student.
Ex. Instruction is informed by formative and summative assessment data in conjunction with classroom observations, performance, and established goals.
